A Life in Dejection

This is an image of a cell at Fulton County Jail. It captures just how difficult prison can be. When looking at this photo I ask myself, "is it right to subject human beings to these conditions?" While many may think of inmates as criminals who get what they deserve, how much better are we for forcing them to live such an empty life in filth?
